This year NBA season is worst than last season. Do you agree?

Teams that did good shouldnt have did good. and im tired of people thinkin there gonna go all the way next year (spurs again cavs jazz) This finals was boring cavs are horrible and can get beaten by least 7 teams in the east coference in a series

Or, maybe you say that because the team you're rooting for lost in the playoffs.

Many people should quit saying that NBA seasons are not good just for the basis that their favorite team lost.

Its your opinion, so I do not say it is wrong. Some people think it is right (especially cavs fans). But for many basketball enthusiasts (and hundreds of thousands of spurs fans), they believe that this season is a very entertaining season.

I mean:

1. The two "finalists" last season got booted out on the first round.

2. New faces that was not seen in action last season appeared in the playoffs (GS Warriors, Utah, etc.)

3. Many surprising upsets and victories.

4. A very experienced and skilled team wins the NBA finals.

Well, in my opinion, it is ONE of the best this decade.

nope. but the playoffs are.
No, NBA season and the playoffs are great. The Finals are boring and anticlimatic. The Cavs didn't put up a fight.

Even New Jersey Nets won 2 games on the Finals over the Spurs.
I agree with luke d. I don't know how any true fan of a sport can say a season was worst than last. There are always records and incredible plays. And also there are so many people who hate fundamental basketball meaning they hate the Spurs. Well I am sorry that witnessing a dynasty being formed isn't exciting for you, but it is for me.

This season was exciting especially the playoffs! Jason Kidd leading his team and going into second for career playoff triple doubles was amazing. Of course the seven game series between Houston and Utah was some great ball! Golden State thumping Dallas was awesome! Lebron into the finals at such a young age, despite getting the LeBroom! Miami getting swept as well!

The great highlights of the season like DAVID LEE'S TIP IN. Down to the wire decisions on the playoffs in the West! IVERSON TRADE! The change in the season and roster for the Raptors was unpredictable. Ben Wallace in Chicago. The increasing power of international players in the league. And Deron Williams improvement.

Damn I can go on and on but I am starting to feel like a writer for the Times! But IMO: what was truly bad about this season? (other than Spurs haters answer that) not enough big dunks? not enough buzzer beaters? it was a great season and I cannot wait for the next season (and I can list many reasons why (ODEN!))

Nope. If anything it's too short. Compared to baseball season at least. It seems like they talk about spring training in February, and then it lasts until November with arbitration talks. And then tack on steroid discussions in the winter. I wish we could talk about basketball all year long!

Just a tad. I mean they could easily cut back 10-15 games so that teams aren't playing 4 games in 5 nights or back-to-backs where they have to travel to different cities. Players always take these type of games off to conserve their bodies. Now baseball and hockey . . . those seasons are too long.
82 games for a period of 6 months is not too long. Besides, by how much they are earning, they should play 365 days for 24 hours a day. (Damn, if I work 365 days for 24 hours, I wouldn't even come close to their salary).
i dont think so... its just right for the players to show what they've got and for the players that are injured to back to their shape and be able to play again for their respective teams...
I think it's perfect. I love the length of the NBA season compared to that of the NFL.

Well the trade that had the biggest impact on their teams was definitely the Artest/Peja trade. And right now it looks like the Kings have really came out on top. Peja is back to his soft, aches and pains, euro player type ways at home while Artest has led a resurgence of the Kings and is giving the Spurs ALL they can handle from a number 8 seed.

MVP? - Kobe Bryant. What hasn't he done this year? He's lead his team to a 40-17 record with basically the same cast as last year for 3/4s of the year so far with the exception of Fisher for Smush. He's made his supporting cast much better with Farmar, Sasha, Bynum and others being much better than last year. What's more impressive is that he's still capable of going for 50, but knows that's not going to help and gets his teammates involved.

Honorable Mentions: Chris Paul, LeBron James

Defensive Player of the Year? - Marcus Camby. As there is no clear cut candidate out there, this award should go to Camby as he's the last line of defense for the Nuggets and I think is averaging over 3.0 BPG. Unless Bowen or Bell really shuts down their opponent everyday, it should be Marcus.

Coach of the Year? - Byron Scott. He's lead his Hornets to a great record with the same supporting cast as the year before. And with the leadership of Chris Paul, it's going to be really scary what this team will be able to do.

6th Man of the Year? - Manu Ginoboli. He's been providing the spark for the Spurs off the bench something they really need because the vets are just getting olders. He's capable of going for 40 even off the bench.

Most Improved? - Chris Kaman. This award should've gone to the Lakers' Andrew Bynum, but he got injured during his monster rampage. Kaman is averaging close to 20 and 10 and is really stumping opponents with his abilities.

Executive of the Year - Mitch Kupchak. This guy turned out to be pretty smart. His late first round draft picks are turning out really great, with each of the contributing to the Lakers, and pulling off the Gasol squad without giving up any of his top 10 players was hysterical.

its between Kobe and cp3 for the simple fact that they are leading thier respective teams to the top of the very very tough west. garnett aint doing a bad job but for me he's playing in a weak conference. to determine the winner i have to say whoevers team is number1 in the west at the end of season is gonna be the MVP.

those are the only real 3 players that should get it.
I hope that Kobe gets the MVP so that the Lakers can lose in the 1st round of the playoffs just like the Mavs did last year, maybe then people will get off his jock.

first of all, i'd love for kobe to get it. i'm a laker fan. he deserves it too. he's changed his game from last year. he's trusting everyone (and making them better at the same time) and he's being the leader he has to be on a team like that.

right now though, with the hornets at no.1, i think paul has a bit of an edge. he's leading the league in dimes with a roster that i can only name chandler and west from.

it's a toss-up. i'd have no problem if it goes either way.

BUT if you dont think u can make all the games... there is something called a Half season ticket package. where u only have to buy like 21 games. and there are also 10 and 15 game packages that you can buy. 41 games is a lot of games to attend.....ticketexchange is an option that u can use to sell your tix. or craigslist.....
